We're Zara and Aaron, both 24, married and co-founders. With backgrounds in video editing, automation, and computer science, we’re passionate about making video editing simpler, smarter, and more accessible for everyone.
We noticed that traditional video editors are overcomplicated and more modern tools (like mobile apps) don't allow users to create content scalably. Content creators, marketers, and businesses often rely on traditional editors like Premiere Pro even for basic tasks - editing a funny 30s TikTok with the same software used to edit movies, is insane. Inspired by the transformative impact of tools like Canva and Figma on graphic design, we’re on a mission to do the same for video editing with Choppity.
Our goal is to bring freedom to content creators and professionals by saving them time and enabling them to focus on what truly matters: creating better content and editing less.
Since starting our journey, we’ve achieved some exciting milestones. In 2024, we were honored to win a UK Startup Award for Graduate Startup of the Year. That same year, we also celebrated our 2-year wedding anniversary. Building Choppity has truly been a reflection of our life together - filled with creativity, collaboration, and a shared passion for video.
As a team, our communication is seamless, and our shared passion drives everything we create. Together, we’re building intuitive tools that empower users to create beautiful, professional videos easily.
